South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said on Friday that he agreed with his American counterpart and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida that trilateral military exercises are "crucial" in countering the "threats" posed by North Korea.
Following a summit in Camp David, Yoon noted the three countries also agreed to activate the agreement on real-time sharing of warnings on potential missile launches by Pyongyang.
The South Korean president noted Seoul, Washington and Tokyo also agreed to take action to address North Korea's alleged human rights abuses and cybersecurity threats.
