French Government spokesperson Olivier Veran (pictured) said on Thursday that Paris has "reasonable doubts" about the cause of the plane crash in Russia in which Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin was presumably killed.
"We don’t yet know the circumstances of this crash. We can have some reasonable doubts," Veran told France 2 and agreed with United States President Joe Biden that Russian President Vladimir Putin is behind most events that happen in Russia. "As a general rule, that’s a truth that can be established," the French official stated.
The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency confirmed that Prigozhin was in the plane that crashed on Wednesday, killing all 10 people on board but Moscow is yet to officially confirm that the Wagner Group leader has died.
