United States House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said that a possible impeachment of President Joe Biden would be delivered through a vote on the House floor "and not through a declaration by one person." Currently, the Republicans hold a slim majority of 222 representatives against the Democrats' 212, and a 218 majority is needed for the vote to pass.
"To open an impeachment inquiry is a serious matter, and House Republicans would not take it lightly or use it for political purposes. The American people deserve to be heard on this matter through their elected representatives," McCarthy told Breitbart News. He previously called for an impeachment inquiry into Biden for his alleged involvement in illegal dealings with his son Hunter.
