The Ministry of Transport of Niger announced on Monday that the national and international commercial flights are now permitted to resume in the country's airspace. According to the ministry's representative, all national and international commercial flights are welcome in the Republic of Niger's airspace along with a complete resumption of ground services.
In a statement published by Nigerien Press Agency (ANP), the ministry stated that aircraft transponders must remain active during any flight within Nigerien airspace. However, it is essential to note that this reopening does not apply to military operations or special flights.
Niger's borders were closed after the coup led by the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland (CNSP) on July 26.
