At least 1,037 people have died and hundreds have been displaced as a result of a devastating earthquake that struck Morocco late Friday night, the nation's Interior Ministry announced.
According to the official information, 1,204 people are injured, 721 of whom are in critical condition.
The 6.8-magnitude quake, which is considered to be the strongest to hit Morocco in over a century, was followed by a 4.9-magnitude aftershock 19 minutes later.
