British Airways announced on Wednesday the suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv due to security concerns amidst the turmoil in the area, and after the flight, BA165 was forced to change course back to London Heathrow amid Hamas's last rocket attacks at Ben Gurion airport.
In a statement reported by the media, the airline noted that it will proceed to a "full refund and rebooking with another airline or with British Airways at a later date" for those customers that need to travel on the mentioned route. Earlier, Wizzair and Virgin Atlantic also stopped flights to the area.
The news comes at the same time that the British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs James Cleverly is visiting Israel and was seen running looking for shelter after air raid sirens were activated warning of a next rocket attack.
