Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi may soon visit Ankara at the official invitation of Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, Ednews informs.
“Soon, at the official invitation of Erdogan, Raisi will visit Ankara, and in the near future we will hold a meeting of the joint high commission on cooperation between the two countries,” Abdollahian said.
The minister stressed that Iran and Türkiye are of the same opinion on increasing emphasis on security on the common border and taking more effective measures to establish new border markets and checkpoints, as well as creating free trade zones at the borders.
