Part of the Saint-Lazare train station in central Paris has been closed due to a bomb threat, and visitors to the shopping center located in the building were urged to leave the premises, according to the BFMTV channel, Ednews informs referring to TASS.
The National Railway Company of France (SNCF) announced on the pages of several branches of commuter trains on X that train services were suspended. Forgotten luggage was cited as the cause of the alarm. Police officers were at the scene and part of the station was cordoned off.
SNCF later announced the lifting of the alert at Saint-Lazare due to unattended luggage, and evacuated passengers were again able to return to the station premises.
"Nothing was found as a result of checks carried out by demining teams. Access to the station is open again," the company said in a statement.
