Japan and the UK condemn the terror attacks of the Palestinian radical movement Hamas, and also advocate a humanitarian pause in the fighting in the Gaza Strip, according to the Japanese agency Kyodo, Ednews informs referring to TASS.
This proposal is contained in a joint statement by the heads of the foreign policy and defense departments of the two countries, adopted following the negotiations held in Tokyo in the “two plus two” format.
Negotiations between Tokyo and London were held in this format for the first time since 2021.
The Japanese government has repeatedly condemned the actions of Hamas, while at the same time emphasizing the need for a ceasefire and a peaceful resolution of the situation.
