An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 was recorded in the Vanj district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of Tajikistan, said the seismic forecasting center of the Emergency Situations Ministry of Uzbekistan, which monitors earthquakes in Central Asia, Ednews informs via TASS.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that the earthquake in Tajikistan had a magnitude of 5.2. According to them, the epicenter was located 43 km southeast of the village of Zarrinrud, where about 2,800 people live. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
