United States Central Command (CENTCOM) revealed that two oil tankers were targeted allegedly by Houthi groups in the Red Sea, Ednews reports via AFP.
The command said that the USS Laboon warship navigating those waters as part of the international mission to secure trade received reports from the Norwegian-flagged chemical/oil tanker M/V Blaamanen and the M/V Saibaba crude oil tanker, Gabon-owned and Indian-flagged. The first one missed the clash of a drone while the other one was hit. No injuries or damages were reported in both cases. "These attacks represent the 14th and 15th attacks on commercial shipping by Houthi militants since Oct. 17," the military said on its X account.
In addition, the USS Laboon "shot down four unmanned aerial drones originating from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen."
