Argentina's President Javier Milei is set to visit Tesla's factory in the United States later this week to meet with CEO Elon Musk, according to a presidential spokesperson.
Milei's itinerary also includes a presentation at the International University of Florida and meetings with local entrepreneurs. Initially scheduled to return to Argentina on Friday, Milei extended his stay to accept Musk's invitation to visit the Tesla plant in Austin, Texas.
Prior to Milei's presidency, Musk expressed interest in investing in Argentina and committed to a visit during a phone conversation with Milei. Additionally, Musk's company, Starlink, was authorized by Milei's administration to provide satellite internet in Argentina, donating equipment to support rural schools.
