Over 475 refugees returned to the Khankendi accompanied with Russian peacekeepers, Eurasia Diary reports citing Russian Media.
It has been reported earlier that about 250 residents returned to their houses. The first 9 buses arrived in Khankendi after deployment of peacekeeping forces.
“With the convoy of 19 buses 475 people returned to Stepanakert. The convoy moved via Yerevan-Khankendi route accompanied by Russian peacekeeping troops and military police and reached Khankendi's chief square,” the press release reports.
It is noted that Russian militaries ensured the safe movement of the buses through the line of contact.
