A decision was made to increase the personnel of the Russian Armed Forces to 1.5 million, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said, TASS reports.
He said that two military districts - Moscow and Leningrad military districts - will be established in Russia as part of the steps taken to ensure Russia's security.
Shoigu added that the increase in the number of military personnel of the Armed Forces should be synchronized with the supply of weapons and the construction of infrastructure, according to the State Defense Order.
