Israeli forces shot dead a 16-year-old Palestinian in a refugee camp in the southern West Bank, Palestine News Agency WAFA reported.
According to the report, Israeli troops conducted a raid in the camp, firing live ammunition and "toxic tear gas canisters at a group of young people and children," shooting the teenager in the back and chest. Israeli forces have killed at least 200 Palestinians so far in 2023, WAFA said.
On the other hand, the Israel Defense Forces stated that "terrorists hurled Molotov cocktails at IDF soldiers in a military post adjacent to the Al-Arroub Camp earlier this evening" and that its "soldiers responded with riot dispersal means and live fire," identifying a "hit."
