The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refuted claims that he has introduced fresh terms for a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages, which were not part of Israel's May 27 proposal, endorsed by the United States.
"The July 27 draft doesn't include new conditions and doesn't contradict the May 27 outline ... Hamas is the one that demanded 29 changes—something the prime minister opposed," the prime minister's press service added on Tuesday.
The parties involved are scheduled to gather on August 15 to iron out the specifics of the ceasefire accord, in line with the joint appeal from the United States, Qatar, and Egypt.
