Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari confirmed Gaza ceasefire negotiations, which started in Doha on Thursday, will continue on Friday. Despite Hamas' decision not to take part in the talks, Al-Ansari said the mediators are "resolute in their commitment to move forward" and secure a deal.
The United States, one of the mediators alongside Qatar and Egypt, said the negotiations were off to a "promising start" and that Qatar and Egypt are also in contact with Hamas. However, a report claimed the differences between the parties "remain big."
