The returning residents expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care they have received. They also thanked the brave Azerbaijani Army, our heroic soldiers and officers who liberated the lands, and honored the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in this cause.
It should be noted that more than 40,000 people currently live in Karabakh and East Zangezur — including not only former IDPs resettled in the area, but also those working on ongoing development projects, employees of various state institutions, and professionals in newly reopened healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy facilities.
