In accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, the Great Return to the liberated territories continues.

According to “EDnews,” another resettlement convoy was dispatched today to two villages liberated from occupation.

The families moving to the rebuilt Sarijali village of the Aghdam district were previously temporarily settled in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings. In this stage, 34 families — a total of 141 people — have been relocated to the village.

Similarly, families moving to Ballica village of the Khojaly district had also been temporarily residing in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings across the country. In this stage, 21 families,83 people, were relocated to the village.

The returning residents expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care they have received. They also thanked the brave Azerbaijani Army, our heroic soldiers and officers who liberated the lands, and honored the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in this cause.

It should be noted that more than 40,000 people currently live in Karabakh and East Zangezur — including not only former IDPs resettled in the area, but also those working on ongoing development projects, employees of various state institutions, and professionals in newly reopened healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy facilities.
