The 140th anniversary of our great composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli was also celebrated within the framework of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. On April 23, a concert of Azerbaijani art masters dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Uzeyir bey was held, accompanied by the Kyrgyz State Academic Symphony Orchestra named after A. Jumakhmatov.
The Ministry of Culture told EDnews that, the orchestra at the concert, which took place at the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abdylas Maldybaev, was conducted by the laureate of international competitions, chief conductor of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, Honored Artist Eyyub Guliyev.
The concert program began with the “Overture” from Uzeyir bey’s opera “Koroglu”. Then soloist Saida Tagizadeh (piano) performed the “Concerto for Piano and Orchestra” by Fikrat Amirov and Elmira Nazirova. The orchestra's performance of Niyazi's "Waltz" and Gara Garayev's "March" and "Waltz" from the ballet "Seven Beauties" added a special color to the evening.
Honored artists Nargiz Karimova performed "Gulchohra's Aria" from Uzeyir Hajibeyli's operetta "Arshin Mal Alan", and Khayyam Mustafazadeh performed the romance "Sevgili Janan". "Nargiz's Aria" from Muslim Magomayev's opera "Nargiz" was performed by Fatima Jafarzadeh.The orchestra also skillfully performed "Labor Dance" by the prominent Kyrgyz composer Kaliy Moldobasanov at the concert. Fikret Amirov's "Azerbaijani Capriccio" touched the hearts as a hymn of love and sympathy for our homeland.
Kyrgyz artists also made their contributions to the evening. Soloists of the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Samira Mamatova and Murat Dervishaliyev performed “Due to Telli and Veli” from the operetta “Arshin Mal Alan”.The musical evening dedicated to Uzeyir Hajibeyli, the pride of the Turkic-Muslim world, ended with the song “Odlar yurdu” by the great singer and composer Muslim Magomayev performed by Khayyam Mustafazadeh.All performances were met with great applause by Kyrgyz music lovers.
The concert program was perceived as a sense of gratitude for the unparalleled services of the unforgettable composer Uzeyir bey to our culture, and his valuable artistic contribution to the 140th anniversary was recorded in the memories alone.
