Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry hosted the 9th meeting of the Working Group on coordination and monitoring of the implementation of green technologies and energy efficiency requirements in the country’s liberated territories, Report informs, citing the ministry.
EDnews noted that Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister and Chairman of the Working Group, highlighted the restoration, reconstruction, and development measures carried out in the country’s liberated territories under the instruction of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Shahbazov emphasized the special importance given to the implementation of the green energy zone concept.The expansion of the implementation of a modern approach that ensures energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in these areas was positively assessed. It was noted that the construction of solar, wind, and hydroelectric power plants here will contribute to the development of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur as a green energy zone.
The Secretariat of the Working Group presented an update on the work done to implement the decisions made at the previous meeting. Information was also provided on the results of monitoring carried out during the current year in 11 cities and villages of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur.
An exchange of views was held on the energy supply of boiler houses in the city of Shusha, and future steps in this direction were reviewed.
