An official welcoming ceremony was held in Baku to mark the arrival of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on his state visit to Azerbaijan.
According to EDnews, President Ilham Aliyev personally greeted President Pezeshkian on the ceremonial plaza, where the national flags of both countries were proudly flying.
A full guard of honor had been drawn up in salute to the distinguished guest, and its commanding officer first approached President Aliyev to render a formal report. The two heads of state then proceeded to inspect the troops side by side, exchanging respectful nods as they reviewed each rank. Once the inspection concluded, the guard presented arms and the national anthems of Iran and Azerbaijan were played, underscoring the warm ties between the two nations. This solemn and meticulously arranged ceremony set a fitting tone for the high-level discussions and events scheduled to follow.
