Azerbaijan perceives no significant impediments to reaching a peace treaty with Armenia, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev said in an interview with TRT World, Ednews reports.
According to him, diplomatic discussions are presently underway between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"We find no major impediments to finalizing a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Specifying dates is challenging as ongoing negotiations between the two countries are required to successfully conclude the process," stated the official.
