Russian political scientist Sergey Markov recently expressed his thoughts on the ongoing forum in a post on his Telegram channel, "Markov's Logic." He invited Azerbaijanis to subscribe to his channel and actively participate in the discussions, noting that Azerbaijan often faces criticism and attacks in the comments. Markov encouraged his followers to defend Azerbaijan's position.
Markov highlighted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's efforts against neocolonialism, describing them as significant:
"I have written about the points that impressed me at the forum. President Aliyev clearly stated that Azerbaijan will continue the struggle for the decolonization of French colonies. This is great news for the world, and many in big politics are watching closely and admiring Azerbaijan's actions. Although not everyone sees it, this is crucial for the world."
Markov expressed his enthusiasm for participating in professional discussions, addressing media issues:
"Participating in these discussions is very rewarding. Many people are unaware of the truth and distrust the media, which often creates discord instead of fostering friendship. We need to figure out how to make the media work for good, not evil."
On the topic of artificial intelligence, Markov noted:
"Artificial intelligence is a major topic. Journalists fear AI might replace them. This is already happening, and many are concerned about AI taking over. AI might end up solving everything for us, turning us into mere dependents. This is a serious issue, and when we asked President Aliyev yesterday, he said: 'We, the politicians, are waiting for your discussion. You are going to have a discussion here and decide what to do with artificial intelligence.'"
Discussing peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Markov shared:
"It was very interesting to learn about Azerbaijan's stance on the peace treaty. Azerbaijan's first demand is to change the Constitution of Armenia. The second demand is for Armenia to join Azerbaijan by proposing the dismantling of the Minsk Group of the OSCE, which hinders the resolution of the situation. This group should be canceled as it was created for the Karabakh conflict, which no longer exists."
Markov concluded by commenting on Western and Armenian political dynamics:
"Pashinyan is hesitant to amend the Constitution, fearing it might lead to his overthrow if he fully acknowledges that Karabakh is part of Azerbaijan. Western countries like France, the United States, the European Union, and NATO can support Armenia against Azerbaijan if Armenia distances itself from Russia. Pashinyan promises to leave Russia but seeks support first."
Markov added that this negotiation continues as Pashinyan assesses whether he will receive enough support or needs to pursue a peace treaty. He mentioned Macron's disappointment due to Azerbaijan's support for the French people's struggle for decolonization, suggesting Macron asked Pashinyan to cancel a meeting with President Aliyev in London.
