International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF), founder of “Eurasia Education Center” - the only officially authorized Preparation and Exam Center of ECL (European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages) in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, and in the Central Asia, in cooperation with the International Education Academy held first ever two-day pre-ECL training on modern and practical approach to mastering English in Tbilisi, Eurasia Diary informs.
The training was organized in Georgian National University, one of the newest and most prestigious educational institutions in Georgia and stared after the ceremony of signing the contract on cooperation between the IEPF, represented by president Umud Mirzayev and International Education Academy, represented by the Director Ketevan Tabutsadze.
ECL instructor and manager of Eurasia Education Center Esmira Kasumbekova lead the training.
During the two-day training, all the requirements to pass the ECL were presented to the audience. The practical part of the seminar lasted 10 hours and consisted of 4 sessions, which were dedicated to 4 parts of the exam: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
In speaking session all the students were acquainted with the speaking requirements of the ECL exam format and were involved into conversations, debates, and discussions on various topics.
Meanwhile, the participants learned how to include passive vocabulary into operation. They became familiar with Part 3 speaking tasks as well: by describing the pictures.
In writing session in order to make the students ready for any topics brainstorming practice was conducted and the passage on different topics was created together with the participants.
During the listening session the students listened to different levels of listening recordings within the framework of the ECL Exam, such as A2, B1, B2, C1. Thus they got the opportunity to become informed about the difficulty level of each part.
After listening the participants were deeply engaged into workshops on answering the appropriate questions on the listened passages.
Reading session was also gathered a lot of attention of the students, as they were performing various tasks on reading, such as matching the parts of the texts, answering the questions, filling in the gaps and completing the sentences they learned to use different techniques to achieve the top results. With just 1-2 mistakes they were satisfied by the learnt new techniques.
In conclusion the expressed their satisfaction and work prepared and presented them.
All the participants, students and teachers, who actively participated in two-day training were awarded with the Certificate of pre-ECL training completion.
