Bishkek may purchase electric buses in 2020, said Director of the Bishkek passenger transportation company Nurlan Koichubakov on Jan 14 at the Bishkek local council session, Eurasia Diary reports citing AKIpress.
A tender will be announced for the purchase of the buses. “Tender will include 5 lots for 18, 12 and 10 meter buses and electric buses. We decided to include electric buses as an additional lot as world is switching to ecological transport. It is planned to purchase about 60-100 units of electric buses,”he said.
Koichubakov briefed on leasing requirements. “ The leasing duration is at least 15 years, 3 years of payments delay. Organization of a service center on the territory of Bishkek passenger transportation company and the interest rate at 1.5% per annum,” the head of the company said.
