Heidi Thomas Kuhn, founder and CEO of Roots of Peace, who is visiting Azerbaijan at the invitation of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) and with the support of ANAMA, shared about Azerbaijan on her Facebook account. She noted this by sharing a photo taken with IEPF President Umud Mirzayev and Executive Power of the region Tahir Mammadov during her visit to Shamakhi region.
"I am currently in Azerbaijan, growing the Roots of Peace with the International Eurasia Press Fund."
It should be noted that at the first day of her first visit Heidi had a chance to be at the IEPF headquarters and the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA). On March 2, Heidi Kuhn, the founder of Roots of Peace, who visited Shamakhi, got acquainted with the viticulture and winemaking complex in the village of Meysari.
Noting that the Roots of Peace organization has so far managed to remove more than 100,000 mines in war-torn areas in eight countries, while supporting the development of agriculture in those areas.
