Landmines/UXO/Cluster Munition are buried in the ground along refugee ‘human corridors’ as Ukrainian Mothers and children attempt to flee, while their husbands/fathers stay behind to fight on the frontline. Innocent footsteps of children ‘blow up’ in front of their families in a desperate attempt to flee the guns of war—it is beyond horrific.
Earlier this month, I detonated eight anti-tank mines in Azerbaijan, a country which borders Russia to the north. It was a humanitarian ‘act of peace’ to eradicate a Landmine and plant a grapevine.

March 21st coincides with the first day of Spring and Nowruz, Afghan New Year which means ‘new day’. Afghanistan is the most heavily mined country in the world.
