"I was very disappointed when I received information about the events in front of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. There are such red lines towards our statehood that it is impossible to cross them. Despite 30 years of hardship, we have managed to protect our borders from the enemy. The carelessness of any official cannot give us a reason to take wrong steps. We must not forget that both the state and society are governed by law, and everyone has the same rights before it. The law does not allow anyone, not even a veteran of the war, to break down the doors and windows of a government agency and enter, to engage in such violent behaviour. This also stains the name of the veteran. In this regard, it is important that our veterans use only legal means to ensure their rights. This state is ours, thousands of our sons were killed to build it. The spirits of our martyrs will not forgive us for the wrong steps taken."
President of the International Eurasia Press Fund, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection Umud Mirzayev told Ednews about the action of a group of veterans in front of the Ministry today.
"Everyone knows our sons who were brave during the 44-day war. We are owing them for the rest of our lives. Undoubtedly, even the smallest problem related to them must be resolved operatively."
The IEPF President also noted that construction work is underway in Karabakh.
"Today, the process of demining continues there, the infrastructure is being restored and reconstructed. At the same time, guests from all over the world visit, foreign diplomats are welcomed and important events are organised in Karabakh and Azerbaijan. There are many forces that are very jealous about it. Such actions are no more than supporting the enemy. Of course, all the problems related to our veterans must be solved. Officials who create any problems in this case should be punished. Veterans are always in the spotlight of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva. On their instructions, serious works have been done and continues to be done to solve the problems of the families of veterans and martyrs."
It should be noted that today a group of veterans held a rally in front of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, broke the glass of the building and entered the building violently. Such entry of veterans into the building of the state organisation was not unequivocally welcomed in the society.
