On November 29, at 17:20, drug smuggling from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented by the Border Troops of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan (SBS) in the service territory of the "Goytapa" border detachment, the SBS told Ednews.
As a result of the conducted border search and operational measures, 18 kilograms 800 grams of narcotics (10 kg 500 grams of marijuana, 3 kg 750 grams methamphetamine, 4 kg 550 grams of heroin) were found and seized.
Operational-investigative measures are underway.
