Ukrainian Armed Forces are attempting to strike Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP) on the night of July 5, advisor to the General Director of Rosenergoatom Group, Renat Karchaa, revealed on Tuesday.
According to him, Ukraine will allegedly attack the plant using a Tochka-U missile with a radioactive waste-filled warhead.
Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Moscow of plotting a "terrorist attack" at the nuclear power plant. In May, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Russian-installed council governing the Zaporizhzhia region, stated that area around the nuclear plant came under "heavy" shelling by the Ukrainian forces.
