Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko on Saturday accused the United States is utilizing the tension on the Korean Peninsula for its own gain, according to the TASS news agency.
Rudenko's remarks came in response to the statements made by South Korean President Yoon Suk-yoel, which suggested that Seoul might consider deploying or developing its own nuclear weapons.
"The Americans are actively using the tension around the Korean Peninsula to build up their military potential in the region," Rudenko was quoted as saying.
