Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has left China for Kazakhstan, Ednews informs referring to the Georgian media.
At the Almaty airport, Irakli Garibashvili was met by Kazakh Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermukhambet Konuspayev, Acting Mayor of Almaty Alisher Abdikadirov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Georgia Malik Murzalin and Ambassador of Georgia to Kazakhstan Nikoloz Laliashvili.
During the visit, the head of government will meet with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov.
Irakli Garibashvili is in Kazakhstan with the delegation.
The prime minister of Kazakhstan visited Georgia at the end of June 2023.
Georgia and Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations in July 1992. The countries cooperate in the fields of energy, transport and agriculture. Kazakhstan has been one of Georgia’s major investors for many years, investing in energy and tourism.
