Death toll from a landslide that hit the resort town of Shovi in Oni municipality of Georgia reached 22, the Head of the Emergency Management Service Temur Mgebrishvili told journalists, Ednews reports.
According to him, the body was found in the bed of the river, and the exhumation work is ongoing. With this, the number of people who lost their lives after the landslide reached 22.
Temur Mgebrishvili also stressed that the search for 11 missing people is continuing.
Note that August 7 was declared a mourning day in Georgia in connection with the landslide that occurred on August 3 near the Shovi resort area in the Oni municipality.
