Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the country's Defense Intelligence Chief Kyrylo Budanov and Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi on Friday to discuss alternative routes for the export of grain through transit corridors.
"We are doing everything possible so that Ukraine continues to be a guarantor of food security, and our people have access to world markets," Zelensky underlined.
The day before, Ukraine's naval forces announced the opening of a temporary "humanitarian corridor" for merchant ships going to or from the Black Sea ports amid fears of grain supply to the global markets following Moscow's withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
