Moldovan President Maia Sandu on Sunday strongly condemned Russia's attack on port infrastructure in Ukraine's Odessa region.
She called for Russia to be held accountable for the destruction of infrastructure in Ukraine and expressed her country's solidarity with Kiev. "My thoughts are with all those affected. Moldova stands firmly with Ukraine," she said.
Moldova, along with Ukraine, applied to join the European Union in the aftermath of Russia's military operation and was officially granted candidate status in June last year.
