French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday called on Ukrainian partners and allies to exhibit courage as Europe approaches a critical juncture where there is no place for cowardice.
"War has returned to our soil, powers that have become unstoppable are expanding the threat, attacking us more every day," Macron said upon arrival in Prague. The president's remarks come after his controversial statement that did not exclude a potential deployment of Western troops to support Ukraine on the battlefield.
However, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, along with several European countries and the United States, later ruled out such a scenario. Moscow warned that the West's possible involvement in the conflict would bring it into direct clash with Russia.
