Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez shared on Thursday that the European Union may reconsider its strategic relationship with Israel if proven that it violated the humanitarian law in the war in the Gaza Strip.
Speaking to Al Jazeera in Doha, Sanchez underlined that the "imbalanced" and "horrible" situation in the Gaza Strip has made Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu more isolated internationally, with a number of European countries changing their stance with regard to the situation.
The Spanish prime minister once again called for a lasting cessation of hostilities in the Palestinian enclave and advocated for the recognition of Palestine as a sovereign nation with full United Nations membership.
