Former President Donald Trump announced on social media that he had a "very good" conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky while asserting that, if elected, he would end the ongoing war in Ukraine.
"Both sides will be able to come together and negotiate a deal that ends the violence and paves a path forward to prosperity," Trump said on Truth after the phone call.
According to Trump, Zelensky condemned last Saturday's assassination attempt and stressed the unity of the American people at this time.
