Norway has announced a new aid package worth 3 billion Norwegian crowns ($306.2 million) to bolster Ukraine’s air defence capabilities, EDnews reports.
The funding will be used specifically to help Ukraine defend against ballistic missile attacks, according to a statement from the Norwegian government.
Oslo also said it will join Denmark, Germany and Canada in procuring new Patriot air defence missiles directly from a manufacturing facility in the United States.
The announcement comes as Ukraine continues to seek additional air defence systems from its allies amid intensified Russian missile and drone attacks targeting cities and critical infrastructure.
