In the city of Akhtyrka, Sumy region of Ukraine more than 70 people were killed as a result of the shelling by the Russian army, UNIAN reports.
The head of the Sumy Regional State Administration Dmitry Zhivitsky said among the victims are both military and civilians.
“Unfortunately, the city of Akhtyrka suffered the most today. The city of Akhtyrka offered the greatest resistance. The military unit was completely destroyed, more than 70 servicemen were killed. There are civilians who have died. Volunteers and rescuers remove the bodies of the dead from the rubble. Currently, places are being prepared for them in the cemetery," said Dmitry Zhivitsky.
