From November 10, 2020 to October 26, 2023, 50 civilians were killed and 105 civilians were injured as a result of a mine explosion in Azerbaijan, Assistant to Azerbaijani President, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev made a post on his Twitter account, Ednews reports.
Also, 15 military were killed, and 164 were injured during this period as a result of a mine explosion.
The presidential assistant emphasized that, in total, 65 people were killed as a result of mine explosion during the above-mentioned period, and 269 people received various degrees of injuries.
Hikmat Hajiyev also noted that 3,413 people in Azerbaijan have been registered by ANAMA as victims of landmines since 1991 up today. Of them 357 are youth and children, and 38 are women.
