Lebanon's Hezbollah group launched an attack on Israeli soldiers in Avivim, marking the latest escalation in tensions across the Lebanese border. According to a statement released via Telegram, the group claimed responsibility for the attack, asserting that it resulted in a direct hit on Israeli forces.
Earlier on Saturday, Lebanon's Jama'a Islamiya group claimed responsibility for launching two rounds of rockets at northern Israel, shortly after Israel said it responded to around 40 missiles fired from Lebanon.
The cross-border escalation comes after Israel's alleged assassination of deputy Hamas leader Saleh al-Arouri in Beirut.
