Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, warned that the use of long-range weapons against Russia could provoke a direct conflict with NATO. Medvedev emphasized that such actions would be considered a severe escalation, potentially leading to war.
In a text published in his Telegram channel, the Russian representative criticized what he dubbed "Western discussions" about Russia's potential use of nuclear weapons, adding that those moves and conversations are frivolous compared to the harsh realities of life. He emphasized that the dangers of the current geopolitical situation far outweigh speculative talk.
Medvedev also condemned NATO countries' support for Ukraine, labeling it a significant escalation of the conflict. According to him, this assistance exacerbates tensions and undermines efforts to stabilize the region.
