EDnews reports, citing foreign media, that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian have commented on Israel's attack on Iran. The Ayatollah has called on the government to respond proportionately. "The attack should neither be exaggerated nor downplayed," he said.
President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian noted that at least four soldiers were killed in the attack and emphasized that an "appropriate response" would be given to Israel. He also conveyed to the public that Tehran does not seek war.
It should be noted that on Saturday, military facilities in several Iranian cities were targeted by missile fire from the Israel Defense Forces. Official Tel Aviv stated that this action was in response to nearly 200 ballistic missiles launched towards Israel on October 1.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the attack severely damaged Iran's air defense system and its missile production capabilities.
