A conference themed "Modern Information Space and Freedom of Religious Belief" will be held in Shamakhi, Azerbaijan, on July 15-16, jointly organized by the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations and the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan, EDnews reports, referring to the committee.
The event will be attended by the leadership of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, the Media Development Agency and Shamakhi District Executive Power, members of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), media representatives, theologians, as well as religious figures and heads of religious communities.
The conference will discuss issues of ensuring freedom of religious belief in the modern information environment and the implementation of existing legislation in this area. There will be an exchange of views on increasing the effectiveness of religious education work by using the capabilities of digital media and forming healthy religious thinking in public consciousness, as well as organizing a media tour to religious places of worship.
