Due to flight restrictions in the airspace of Iran, Iraq and Israel following Israel's airstrikes on Iran, 13 international airline planes made an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport to continue their flights safely.
According to foreign media, some of the flights of planes that made an emergency landing also had citizens of the Russian Federation of Armenian descent on board.
The press service of Heydar Aliyev International Airport noted that the safety and comfort of all passengers were ensured. They were provided with services in accordance with international aviation legislation.
According to currently available information, more than half of the planes that made an emergency landing have already continued their flights.
For the remaining flights, coordination procedures are ongoing in accordance with international standards.
