Carmelo Anthony, the 10-time NBA All-Star, announced on Monday on his Twitter account his official retirement from the league after 19 seasons played, EDnews informs via Teletrader.
"My communities, the cities I represented with pride and the fans that supported me along the way, I am forever grateful for those people and places 'cause they made me Carmelo Anthony," he said in the video posted on his social media.
Anthony, who throughout his NBA career played for the Denver Nuggets, the New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trailblazers and Los Angeles Lakers, landed the ninth spot on NBA's All-Time scoring list, with 28,289 points.
