Global oil prices fell moderately on Monday morning amid growing doubts about demand for raw materials in light of the continuing rise in the number of new coronavirus infections detected. This is evidenced by the trading data.
The price of July futures for North Sea Brent crude oil mixture is reduced by 0.34% to $65.2 per barrel, June futures - by 0.39% to $65.85. The cost of June futures on WTI dropped by 0.26% to $61.98 per barrel.
The situation with the coronavirus continues to put pressure on oil prices. In a number of countries, such as India and Japan, the number of infections is growing, which threatens a recovery in demand for raw materials due to quarantine bans by the authorities.
