Azerbaijan's Economic Council reviews Alat Free Economic Zone progress | <span class="text-danger">PHOTOS</span>

Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Ali Asadov, the Economic Council of Azerbaijan held a meeting to discuss the activities of the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ), EDnews reports, citing the Cabinet of Ministers.

The session covered completed work, urgent infrastructure issues, strategic vision and development prospects, as well as the role and potential of the service sector in economic growth, identified priority directions, proposals, and other current matters.

Presentations were delivered by Shahmar Movsumov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Economic Issues and Innovative Development Policy of the Presidential Administration, and Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov. Members of the Economic Council and Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone, also spoke on the issues presented.

At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant decisions were adopted taking into account the opinions and proposals of the Council members, and instructions were given to the responsible institutions.
