Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Russian State Duma, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, told EDnews about this.

"Sooner or later, a peace agreement will be signed. Of course, the sooner the better. There is no need to delay it,we need to move forward on the path of construction in the interests of the peoples of the South Caucasus," the Russian parliamentarian said.

Leonid Slutsky noted that the liberated territories of Azerbaijan are developing rapidly.A peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a matter of time.

"I was recently in Shusha, I arrived at Fuzuli airport. The liberation of this troubled land will forever be engraved in the history of Azerbaijan. Today, remembering the heroism of the glorious sons of the Azerbaijani people in the recent past, we say: Karabakh is Azerbaijan," the faction representative emphasized.

According to him, Armenia's hope for revenge in Karabakh is meaningless, because Azerbaijan is stronger in any case.

"It is necessary to put an end to this conflict and focus on construction, not ambitions," Leonid Slutsky concluded.
